A ten year unclothed boy begging for stale food in the house-yard of the landowner for whom his father used to plough field years before! This is a research study which has unfolded the educational realities of minorities, Dalits and marginalized group of people in general and knowledge practices of Musahars (the most oppressed group of people in Nepal) in particular. It vividly unearths the sufferings of the oppressed in the caste-based hierarchical society. It consists of illustrative discussion upon how educational institution shrugs to education for the poor and minorities. It also portrays the way that school education strengthens the interests of the rich and reproduces the plight of the poor from one generation to the other. This study is crucial for all the concerned stakeholders interested in seeking educational practices and engaging in classroom pedagogy, especially for minorities.
