Books in the Advances in Life Course Research series

A wide-ranging source of information on the life courses of children and youths. Contributions reflect, amongst other things: demographic analyses and projections; dualitative aspects of children's lives; and children and youth in historical and cross-cultural perspective.

These papers gather together observations at a macro-social level about the changing nature of lives in Western societies. They examine how the lives of women and men may be changing across countries, as part of a more general process of modernization.
