New generation wear resistant alloys

About New generation wear resistant alloys

The monograph sets out creation of wear resistant materials of new generation comparable in properties with foreign analogues; developing the technology of wear-resistant alloys. Studiying the properties and microstructure of prototypes was carried out. Magnetograms of stress fields in test and reference castings were taken. An X-ray phase analysis of the prototypes was carried out to confirm the proposed phase composition. The level of properties (tensile strength, hardness, wear resistance) of the experimental alloys was determined. It was found that the studied properties were improved by about 20% compared with the properties of the reference samples. The monograph is intended for scientific and engineering workers in the metallurgical and engineering industries, doctoral students, undergraduates and university students.
