  • - Block Pulse and Related Orthogonal Functions
    by Anish Deb
    £43.49

This book covers block pulse and related functions for the analysis and identification of continuous and discrete-time systems. It covers 'functions related to block pulse functions' and pulse-width modulated generalized block pulse functions including their applications including MATLAB based examples.

by Anish Deb, Srimanti Roychoudhury & Gautam Sarkar
    £93.99

  • - Walsh Analysis with MATLAB (R)
    by Anish Deb
    £74.49

Focusing on Walsh/block pulse domain analysis, this book presents orthogonal Walsh functions for analyzing power electronic systems. It covers two major members of the piecewise constant orthogonal function family: orthogonal Walsh and block pulse functions. These bi-valued functions are compatible to digital processing and, by increasing the number of component functions, a continuous-like solution can be obtained. The book shows how the methods are useful for power electronic systems and their optimization.

This book deals with a new set of triangular orthogonal functions, which evolved from the set of well-known block pulse functions (BPF), a major member of the piecewise constant orthogonal function (PCOF) family. Unlike PCOF, providing staircase solutions, this new set of triangular functions provides piecewise linear solution with less mean integral squared error (MISE).After introducing the rich background of PCOF family, which includes Walsh, block pulse and other related functions, fundamentals of the newly proposed set - such as basic properties, function approximation, integral operational metrics, etc. - are presented. This set has been used for integration of functions, analysis and synthesis of dynamic systems and solution of integral equations. The study ends with microprocessor based simulation of SISO control systems using sample-and-hold functions and Dirac delta functions.
