A time way back. There is an impending threat from brigands (Valkites) to a little village. The villagers decide to flee. They send off their children, hoping to catch up with them later. But the villagers become trapped and the children are suddenly alone. The children were advised that if their parents do not join them, they are to go to the nearest village. But the children are undecided. Should they go to the next village or should they go in search of 'The Hero' they had heard of? But will they find him and if they do, will he help them? If they don't find him, should they try to rescue their families by themselves? The quest is filled with dangers. There are wild animals; there are great mountains and fast flowing rivers. But harder than that, there are babies to care for. Simply children, can they agree with each other? But as in life, it is not always the best of plans, but the unexpected that helps us through our greatest challenges in life.
