Arame Richardson was born in Dakar, Senegal. She immigrated to Spain for five years before moving to United States in 1996, where she worked in hair salons, healthcare, and eventually education. She loves reading and writing on the immigrant experience. Arame currently lives in Baltimore, Maryland, with her family.
