The world has changed by the digital revolution; that's one of the messages of this thesis. Also place making is not what it used to be. The possibilities have been increased greatly. Anyone who deals with decision-making needs information, or rather knowledge. In essence, placemaking projects concern a change, and more particularly, innovations. The better and deeper knowledge used in innovation, the greater the chance of a successful innovation, which does not mean that it is favorable for everyone. A small part of the knowledge (20%) that we possess is to formalize; ie 80% which is not and it is one of the goals of this book to say something and try to capitalize these 80% (personal knowledge or tacit knowledge). Another important principle is that innovation nowadays happens in networks. This was done once called, but also the above-mentioned digital revolution that has facilitated by making it possible to work in online communities.
