This book focuses on four works: Brunetto Latini's didactic poem, the "Tesoretto"; an illustrated manuscript of the same; and Simone Martini's "Maesta" and Ambrogio Lorenzetti's "Allegory of Good and Bad Government", both painted for the Palazzo Pubblico in Siena.
