The Now I am Ten Poems were written at Digglefold Boarding School, in Marondera between the years 1978 and 1979. Caro's step-mum kept them, forming the inspiration for this collection. The Now I am Twenty poems have been drawn together from diaries. The Now I Am 30 poems were written when entering poetry competitions for the national poetry anthologies in 2000 and 2001. The Now I am 40 poems were written whilst studying Creative Writing with the Open University.
