The Osage were attacked by the Cherokee and the ensuing battle was devastating to the Osage Indians. In this exciting and informative tale, Running Brook, a young Indian maiden, tells the story of her great-great-great-grandfather, who survived the attack. The story was written with middle school children in mind; however, I believe that anyone might enjoy the story.
