This book is a new addition to his Once Upon a Time poetry series wherein Daniel Silverhawk introduces us to the animal kingdom once more.
In the Old Pond slums, the most talkative toad is the king. He's constantly chomping his gums, but when the old toad suddenly croaks, the pond slums become silent. Then the smallest frog in the pond bravely begins speaking from the king's lily pad. Because of the courage of this tiny frog, the pond slums are alive and hopping with all the frogs joining in. You, too, are invited to join in by sharing this story and your story in the Old Pond slums.
