There is no sexual dialogue or situations, violence, or strong language, only a wee little bit of humor. :) We hope you enjoy these pirate books for young adults, teens, and older kids.

2020 Selah Award Winner for YA Literature - In this YA pirate tale, award-winning author Eddie Jones blends action, adventure, and humor into a fictional retelling of the pirate exploits of Calico Jack, Anne Bonny, and Mary Read. While searching for rumored treasure in a cave on Coffin Cay, a small island off the southwestern tip of Haiti (Hispaniola), Ricky suffers an absence seizure. During his last trance-like episode, Ricky uncovered a treasure from the Nuestra Señora de Riqueza, a vessel in an armada of ships sailing the Spanish Main. Now back on Coffin Cay with his parents, Ricky hunts for the treasure he found in the cave over three hundred years earlier during his trip back to pirate land. The End of Calico Jack is a fictional retelling of the pirate escapades of Calico Jack, Anne Bonny, and Mary Read. The story is based on historical research of the life of "Calico Jack" John Rackham. Some liberties have been taken in the telling of the story, but many of the events reflect what historians believed happened to Jack, Mary, and Anne. Also, in real life those who suffer absence seizures may appear to be in a trance but cannot recall what happens during their episode. The book includes a PIRATE MAP of Calico Jack's sailing routes and the ports he visited.Parents can trust the Caribbean Chronicles Series. There is no sexual dialogue or situations, violence, or strong language, only positive moral values.

This book carries a 100% GUARANTEED RETURN POLICY. We GUARANTEE if you RETURN this book we will get rid of our RETURN POLICY.All kidding aside, we don't want irate customers posting really nasty reviews of our products, so if you are not 100% satisfied, send a copy of your receipt and maybe a handwritten note explaining why you think this is the worst boating book ever to Slip None, Whittaker Creek, Oriental, North Carolina. We're not at that address — our boat sank. But they're nice people — or where — and hold our mail. Now, about this business of boating. If you DO NOT own a boat, what are you waiting for? A sign? Okay, here's your sign: Salt water covers over 71% of the earth's surface. That means if you had a boat, you could be, at this very minute, wet. You might also be broke, permanently deformed from living in spaces the size of a Tupperware bread box, and have a dent in your skull from banging your forehead into the companionway hatch. You may also be divorced. Next let's talk about this book you may or may not return. Hard Aground... Again is a collection of boating columns offering a "stuck up" look at the underside of cruising and the frustrations "land-cuffed" sailors experience when our plans for coastal exploration and tropical destinations run aground on the shoals of family, finances and failing health. These columns first appeared in Carolina Cruising and Coastal Cruising Magazine, plus a number of other boating publications — all of which went out of business. Hope you enjoy the book. If not, leave it in a marina library or in an airport.

    by Eddie Jones
    £12.49

What does it mean to find God's will for your life? How can you know your calling. . . your destiny? When we say, "Lord, Your will be done," we are asking God to place His deepest yearnings into our hearts and alter the circumstances of our lives. In My Father's Business, you will see how others responded to God's yearning for passionate living and enjoyed his blessings and promises.Enjoy inspirational stories about General George S. Patton, Bruce Wilkerson, Jim Valvano, Walt Disney, Mother Teresa, Abraham Lincoln, Colonel Sanders, Jeremy Lin, and others. The word discernment comes from two Latin words: discernere (to perceive) and discretis (to separate). To discern God's voice and will is to engage in an intimate conversation with the Creator of all things. God sees beyond our past and knows our secret desires, even those desires we do not yet know exist. In My Father's Business, you will see how others responded to the yearning God placed within their heart and enjoyed their Father's blessing. As you read these short stories, ask:Will my current course of action use my gifts, talents, and passions? How has my previous experience prepared me for the task ahead? Will this new opportunity cause me to be more loving, kind, and compassionate? Will I be forced to trust God more?Is this an expansion of my influence for God?Who others benefit from my actions more than me?What will it cost me and my family? Is this a time-sensitive opportunity? The stories in this short book illustrate how others have heard God's call and heeded His voice. Our prayer is that you will learn to recognize the whisper of Jesus and both discern and do His Father's will.

'The 25th day of November the house of Syon was suppressed into the King's hands, and the ladies and brethren put out, which was the [most] virtuous house of religion that was in England.' So wrote the chronicler Charles Wriothesley in 1539. But the story of Syon Abbey did not end with the Dissolution of the Monasteries. Founded by Henry V in 1415, England's only house of the Bridgettine order had been one of the richest monasteries of medieval England. Now the community went underground; they returned briefly under Queen Mary, only to leave again with the accession of Elizabeth. They were to spend more than half a century 'wandering'-through the Netherlands and France, an exodus that brought them, in 1594, to Lisbon in Portugal. Here they remained until 1861, when circumstances at last allowed a return home to England. They settled in Devon, where the remaining sisters now live in retirement. The history of Syon Abbey is an inspiring story of faith and fortitude, of an enclosed, contemplative community that found itself living through persecution and martyrdom, wars and revolutions, fire and earthquake, over six centuries of unbroken tradition and unyielding faith. This book celebrates the sexcentenary of that community in 2015.
