This project research aims to investigate through modelling and simulation the components which will allow the Baglan Hydrogen Centre to operate as a stand-alone system by combining both the solar PV array system which already exists with a wind turbine as a hybrid system to improve the reliability of the Baglan Hydrogen Centre for stand-alone operation. Where the most important objectives were determining the existing and maximum capacity that can be achieved from the site PV panels and determine the optimum sizing for electrolyser, fuel cell and hydrogen storage, by using data gathered.
