Jerome, a Dutch artist of the 'Middle Ages', has endured almost half a millennium in a purgatory of his own making, when he becomes aware of the revolutionary experiments of Lucy, a maverick physicist and her teenage colleagues, Jack and Megan. Realising Lucy holds the key to his resurrection, he seizes the opportunity to return to his hedonistic, creation; 'The Garden of Earthly Delights' by materialising the terrible demons portrayed in his paintings and taking Megan's baby sister hostage. Jack and Lucy have only two days to satisfy Jerome's demands in order to save the little girl's life, but as they strive to meet his deadline, they realise that Jerome is not the only thing from the 'other side' capable of creating turmoil. A far more malevolent entity is using him to inflict its own, age old, brand of chaos on humanity."In the sky, there is no distinction of east and west; people create distinctions out of their own minds and then believe them to be true."Buddha Quote:
The strange manner of the destruction of Lucy''s London house has attracted the attention of Albert Grossman, her mother''s partner, and the CIA. The CIA is desperately trying to obtain the secret of Lucy''s matter transportation science, while Albert has stolen it and taken control of the USA''s nuclear ICBM''s. He is dictating terms to the helpless kidnapped world leaders from the safety of the International Space Station, two hundred miles above the earth and the CIA is powerless to stop him. Only Lucy can save the planet from this merciless psychopath but what can she do when Grossman has linked his heartbeat to automatically trigger a nuclear holocaust if he is killed? Her solution forces her to question her Buddhist beliefs and there are unforeseen consequences at her family Christmas party!
