I Iliaden møder vi mange af de græske helte som eksempelvis Hektor, Achilleus, Agamemnon, Odysseus, Priamos og mange flere. Hertil kommer et anseeligt antal guder, der alle påvirker krigen på én eller anden måde.Efter mange års krig er Troja fortsat under belejring. Hektor kæmper sig til stor hæder og ære på slagmarken, for ingen kan måle sig med ham i styrke. Samtidig sidder Achilleus afventende i sit telt, for Kong Agamemnon har fornæmet ham, så han ikke vil deltage i kampene. I stedet sender han hans gode ven Patroklos i kamp, og efter at han har slået utallige brave modstandere ned, overvindes han til sidst. Vennens død går Achilleus meget på, og da hans mor samtidig stiger op af havet for at opfordre ham til kamp, indvilger Achilleus omsider i at bilægger striden med Kong Agamemnon. Og så jagter Acchilleus ellers Hektor rundt om Troja, til får fornærmet guderne, da han slæber Hektors lig efter en vogn. Iliaden er skrevet af Homer (mener man). Denne version er tilpasset dansk retskrivning af Hans Peter Andersen, for at gøre dette klassiske værk lettere tilgængeligt, men Homers form med 24 afsnit på vers er dog beholdt.God læselyst.

The Odyssey, Homer's epic tale of Odysseus and his ten-year journey home after the Trojan war, is one of the earliest and greatest works of literature. Correction of imperfections: As the work was re-created from the scratch, therefore, it was vetted to rectify certain conventional norms with regard to typographical mistakes, hyphenations, punctuations, blurred images, missing content/pages, and/or other related subject matters, upon our consideration. Every attempt was made to rectify the imperfections related to omitted constructs in the original edition via other references. However, a few of such imperfections which could not be rectified due to intentional\unintentional omission of content in the original edition, were inherited and preserved from the original work to maintain the authenticity and construct, relevant to the work.We believe that this work holds historical, cultural and/or intellectual importance in the literary works community, therefore despite the oddities, we accounted the work for print as a part of our continuing effort towards preservation of literary work and our contribution towards the development of the society as a whole, driven by our beliefs.
