Boy meets boy. It wasn?t love at first sight. An easy kind of relationship was formed. There was dysfunction from the start, hidden from the heart. What was done under the sheets became a secret to all and that was the beginning of the fall. This book consists of two short stories told through poems about two separate guys on a journey of self discovery. Kenneth and Jacob are fighting their own private wars when it comes to sexual identity, self worth, and the toxicity in their relationships and friendships. Will they be able to navigate those dark waters successfully?
A poetry collection showcasing random poems from the author/poet, J Asheley Brown, on various subjects, thoughts and observations. Take a peek into his realm and leave refreshed, renewed and encouraged.
?In our family, the ones who can hear the words are the ones who have the Power.? Maryse Guardan didn?t want to be a witch. She wanted to hit the reset button, deny the power, return to sender. Maryse didn?t ask to be special or singled out. She just wanted to go to school, be normal. But the things that were happening to her were not normal. When her Aunt Linda revealed the family secret, Maryse thought it was only a joke. But the more she discovered about her family?s witch heritage the more she became a believer. A prophecy has been foretold, time is running out and Maryse may be one of the Two destined to save the world if she learns to embrace her new identity as the Chosen One.
Mary Blackthorn is not a regular teenager. Sure, she attends high school but books and facts and boys are not on her mind. Mary is descended from a long line of demon hunters called Remnants. The Remnants have been charged to guard the night against any evil that might threaten the safety of all humankind. Mary is new to her role, new to her sometimes uncontrollable power and new to the heavy responsibility that has been placed upon her young shoulders. Will she be able to juggle the demands of high school, her Remnant training, her missions in the field and fights against the evil of the night and quite possbily a new love interest?Through it all Mary Blackthorn will have to decide whether a Remnant life is a life worth living or one she should run away from.

A lot of people live a life tinged with darkness. We live, we love, we lose, our hearts break and through all of this we are expected to carry on with a smile on our faces. This causes a certain beauty to our sadness and itÕs a testament to the strength of our souls. We survive heartache after heartache to experience momentary touches of romance. This poetry collection takes the reader on a journey of highs and lows in love. Relationships without truth and communication can be a dark reality.
DEVIL IN THE DETAILS is not a tale of seduction nor a tale of right versus wrong. The two combined short stories of the UNLIMITED FAITH SERIES, Different Walk & Different View will open your eyes to truth. This volume has it all: controversy in and out of the church, words of faith, drama and comedy and even moments that will make you cry. Get ready to look differently at what intimacy really is: your intimacy with your beliefs and religion or lack thereof, your intimacy with your loved ones and family and friends, your intimacy with your God or Higher Power. Faith, Ron, Nefarious and Shemeka have all made tenuous decisions that have cut family ties and changed the atmospheres of all involved. Things are just getting heated up and lines are being drawn and hearts are being tested. Can everyone maintain their sanity long enough to flush out the devil in their midst?
Ghetto Fire is a collection of poetry from Author/Poet, J ASHELEY BROWN. This volume presents some of the best of his collective work with over 20 new poems added. Read his rants and ravings, his musings and observations and learn how creation is the fire in which we all burn.
This collection of Christmas Poetry and Plays was created specifically for the Black Church but anyone can use the kid friendly work in this book. Each poem and play was designed for that last minute addition to your Christmas pageant and something quick to learn and recite on the spot. The title was chosen out of the need to remind the world of the true meaning of Christmas: God existed before WIFI and social media and HE will remain long after technology is dead. If you put God and HIS love first (and the great examples from HIS Word that we should follow) before the materialism of the holiday season then you will truly have a Merry Christmas!
