As they grew older, their relationship grew stronger, until one of them moved to the North to found several banks and become wealthy, while the other became a U.S. Senator from the South. As war broke out between the states, James Harris became the Administrative Assistant to President Abraham Lincoln, while John Beauregard assumed the position of the South's chief spy. As the war progressed, both men were pitted against each other, to sway the balance of power. Could these two men reconcile once the war ended?
