The city of El Paso, Texas is under siege. A Quiet Street in El Paso may be a fiction thriller but reads like today's headlines. We read every day about the immigration problems, the wall, and about families being separated. Not to mention the endless stream of illegal drugs crossing the border from Juarez, Mexico.
Hooked takes place in Tampa, Florida, well known for its strip clubs. Called, Gentlemen's Clubs, they feature young, sexy woman dancing naked and offering lap dances. The dancers call the men who frequent the clubs and prefer the same dancer, as being 'hooked.' A.J. Danelli is a homicide detective who is trying to find a serial killer who is killing the dancers in the name of God. A.J. is asked by the District Attorney to give a deposition about the case and his involvement with a dance. The reason: A.J. is also hooked.
