This social problems text approaches the subject from a global perspective. The starting point is a United National declaration called, “Transforming our World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development,” which recognizes a single global system and the interdependence of problems across national borders. Using this as a framework, the book will explore three broad themes--"Building Human Capital," "Incivility," and "Our Environments"--as it examines the causes and consequences of, and possible solutions for, a range of problems.
