A man has been discovered dead on the front pew of Grace Community Church. Jo Elliott and her group of gospel singers have been the ones to find Harold Ashton when they enter the church to set up sound equipment for the evening concert. Who would be guilty of murdering this beloved deacon, father, and husband? And why would anyone hate him enough to commit such a dastardly deed? It will be up to Jo and her family to discover the intricacies of the life of a man who cast a long shadow on his family and community. What series of events and emotional upheavals caused someone to hate and resent to the point of murder? Can Jo, her grandson and his wife figure out the reason Harold was killed, and who is guilty? Jo is determined to find the answers before someone else falls victim, or the guilty party gets away with it.
