This research was conducted by the National Association of Concessionaires (NAC) during the first quarter of 2018. The research report highlights the results of an online survey of moviegoers conducted during the period. The purpose of this research was to assess the relative importance of ten movie theatre attributes and the subtle trade-offs that moviegoers made while choosing a move theatre. Conjoint analysis was used to analyze over 22,000 movie theatre profiles evaluated by the survey participants. A review of literature in the field identified many unclear issues in the industry including moviegoers' theatre choice, impact and trade-offs of theatre attributes, and the return on investments made. This research throws light on such issues.
