Wobbly Woman - An Illustrated Memoir is a story about the sparkle within us all and what can happen when we are not true to ourselves. It is about the loss and rediscovery of one woman's spirit and how she reignited passion and purpose in her life, symbolised through illustration. Wobbly Woman is Leeza's story but it could be anybody's story, your story? With honesty, Leeza shares how she lost her sense of self but realised that happiness comes from having the courage to follow your dreams.
The Boy Who Refused to Sing was inspired by Leeza Baric's father, Nikola Baric who escaped from former Yugoslavia in search of freedom in 1957. Based on a true story, it is a simple narrative with universal themes. While it is about the brutality of life under communism, the book questions how free any of us are today. What songs are you being forced to sing and how far would you go to fight for your freedom?
