Jane Austen Lite. The language rings of Jane Austen, yet is much friendlier to the modern reader.DINA SLEIMAN, Author of DauntlessWhat are wealthy sisters for, if not to help younger sisters marry well?Five years have passed since Ariana Forsythe married the dark and dashing Phillip Mornay. Now her younger sister Beatrice is ready for a romance of her own. Who better to help her get it than her fashionable elder sister? But the Mornays are happily embedded in domestic life at their elegant country estate, and Beatrice despairs of ever getting a societal debut. When two eligible men appear on the scene, surely one of them must be the answer to all her hopes. Two handsome gentlemen, one dark secret, one pretty girl and a huge country estate--can a country house courtship like no other be far behind?Delightful read. So Jane Austen-esque! Burkard really knows her period and has a talent for making the characters sound like they are from the era. RUTH AXTELL MORREN, Author, The Making of a GentlemanLinore Rose Burkard won a place on my list of new favorite authors with this book. It's a delightful story, well-researched, and packed with tongue-in-cheek humor that puts the reader in the head of the author as the narrator.MICHELLE RAYBURN, speaker and writerThis is book 3 in this series, but you don't need the other two to fall in love with this story. Burkard has an amazing talent to write a book with just enough details to get the stories that happened before without spoiling them if you want to go back and read them. If you have read the other two you'll be pleasantly surprised that there isn't a ton of repetition of what you already know...The Country House Courtship is pure delight.DIANA LESIRE BRANDMEYER, Author of Hearts on the RoadLinore Rose Burkard once again delivers a Regency romance that all Jane Austen fans will love. Her richly described scenes and well developed characters transport the reader into 1818 England... This is an emotional page-turner that is well suited for book club discussion groups as well as an enjoyable personal read with a good cup of English tea. Don't miss this one!SANDI ANDREWS, Book Club CoordinatorWith much enthusiasm, I enjoyed this third story in the Regency Romance series by Linore Rose Burkard. The values and morals of the main characters are very refreshing. We are offered an uplifting story with romance, adventure and mystery. I feel as comfortable for my young teen daughter to read this selection as I am for my set-in-her-ways grandmother. I recommend this book to fans that enjoy Jane Austen and the Regency time period...Well done, Linore!KELLI GLESIGEI didn't really like this book when I first started, but really, really liked it by the time I ended it. I didn't want it to end. ...Beatrice was really annoying. And I never liked Mr. O'Brien. Two very annoying characters so how would I get through this book? I almost gave up... but I'm glad I didn't. They are annoying because well, some people just are (but never moi), and they grow and quickly I forgot how much I really didn't want this story to be about Beatrice. The book is funny and even smacks a little of one of my fav Regency period authors named Georgette Heyer. She was fantastic with quirks and had brilliant humor, and this book felt similar to her style.KINDLE CUSTOMER New Edition! Shepherd, Author, Book ReviewerThis is the best Regency novel I've ever read! Kristen Malone, Historical Romance WriterI would read anything Linore Rose Burkard writes.. It takes a great author to write so well in multiple genres, and this regency time travel is a great addition to Linore's other works, including a Christian Regency series and her heart stopping dystopian trilogy. This is an author you don't want to miss!Jaimee Dinnison, ReviewerThank you so much for this wonderful story. I love a happily-ever-after story and this gave me a romance and a happy ending--I have a smile on my face!Kim Gregory, ReviewerResearch, research, research! Ms. Burkard shows her diligence (while) plot twists will keep the reader turning pages.Peggy Ellis, Writer, ReviewerWith eccentric characters, well-defined period details (have you been to 1816, Ms Burkard?) and a rollicking plot, Linore Rose Burkard takes us on a fast-paced, unpredictable journey that leaves the reader breathless until the very end. Janice Dick, Author, Calm Before the StormLoved this book! Unpredictability made me giggle in places. Great characterization and descriptions, creating a vivid picture, and the pressures in each time period created lasting suspense. A really good read.Fiona Rowe, ReaderI loved this book!It has romance, magic, mystery, and time travel all rolled into one delightful story that will keep you turning the page.Jody Blair, ReaderI loved it! I'm not usually a fan of historical romance, and so I was initially drawn to this book because of the time travel element. So while I came for the time travel, I found myself gripped by the romance! I felt like I was there! In fact, I will miss spending time with the protagonists now that I've finished the book. I recommend it to science fiction and romance readers alike!Tommy-Lee Sexton, ReaderA delicious romp through time that will keep you on the edge of your seat! This was such a fun read. A hilarious mix (that) doesn't hit the brakes until the final page!Nicole Sager, Blogger, Reviewer
