A Mothers Cry was written from the heart, she dug deep down to make you feel what she felt in creating this novel. "Your mother is the first person you see when you come into this world, the first person you bond with. This riveting novel will make you wish something bad on the daughter, but there are twists and turns where as you are not going to know whom to hate. This novel also deals with White America and Black America during the late fifties and early sixties. Well written and well thought out. When you were a child and couldn't get you way with your mother you probably walked away then went to your room, closed the door and said very lowly, I hate her, but not Urula, she stood right in her mother's face and said a whole lot more and could care less what her mother thought. Over the years her hatred towards her mother grows into something words cannot describe.
