The core of this monograph is the development of tools to derive well-posedness results in very general geometric settings for elliptic differential operators. A new generation of Calderon-Zygmund theory is developed for variable coefficient singular integral operators, which turns out to be particularly versatile in dealing with boundary value problems for the Hodge-Laplacian on uniformly rectifiable subdomains of Riemannian manifolds via boundary layer methods. In addition to absolute and relative boundary conditions for differential forms, this monograph treats the Hodge-Laplacian equipped with classical Dirichlet, Neumann, Transmission, Poincare, and Robin boundary conditions in regular Semmes-Kenig-Toro domains.Lying at the intersection of partial differential equations, harmonic analysis, and differential geometry, this text is suitable for a wide range of PhD students, researchers, and professionals. This book is written for anyone who has thought about or wants to become an entrepreneur. Unlike most business books, this one does not focus on the mechanics of starting or running a business, instead it focuses on the most important aspect of a business which is the entrepreneur. This book explains why an entrepreneur is the Soul of any business so therefore the entrepreneur must ensure that they are the best entrepreneurs they can possibly be. It takes a creative and philosophical approach to starting and running a business and suggests that starting a business is actually a form of spiritual practice in which an entrepreneur expresses his/her creativity and their deepest passions and desires.Filled with both practical and scientific advice, this book is a high octane motivational tool that provides an entrepreneur with the fuel of wisdom and insights that empowers them to reach their full potential while building the company of their dreams. The intention of the book is to inspire entrepreneurs to build businees that are committed to making a positive impact on the world while making a handsome profit. It is a book that belongs on every bookshelf of those who are committed to building companies that change the world.
The book is . They are intellectually rigorous, but written in non-technical language for the thoughtful reader. They deal with the exhaustion of the Western Christian tradition and its need to `cross boundaries` if it is to find renewal; why the North should be interested in development; how to respond to highly divergent views about the effects of the global economy; advice to Christian campaigners and demonstrators; differences and similarities between those who set out to reform the global economy and those who reject it wholesale; ways of doing social theology or social ethics; and some of the challenges made by faith traditions in the `South` to the mainstream development tradition. Many recurring themes in the book arise from the continuing tradition of Christian Realism, requiring us to take full of account of the worst as well as the best in human nature.
Herbert Spencer (1820-1903) is remembered only as an alleged 'Social Darwinist' who applied the theory of the survival of the fittest to society. This book provides the modern survey of the corpus of Spencer's thought. It introduces a Spencer very different to his posthumous reputation.
Native American sports team mascots represent a contemporary problem for modern Native American people. The ideas embedded in the mascot representations, however, are as old as the ideas constructed about the Indian since contact between the peoples of Western and the Eastern hemispheres. Such ideas conceived about Native Americans go hand-in-hand with the machinations of colonialism and conquest of these people. This research looks at how such ideas inform the construction of identity of white males from historic experiences with Native Americans. Notions of ';playing Indian' and of ';going Native' are precipitated from these historic contexts such that in the contemporary sense of considering Native Americans, popular culture ideas dress Native Americans in feathers and buckskin in order to satisfy stereotypic expectations of Indian-ness.
