A beautifully illustrated collection of mindfulness exercises for grounding, relaxation, and finding inner peace, from legendary spiritual guru OshoAll of us have experienced moments of "coming home"--feeling relaxed, grounded, free of the restlessness that characterizes so much of our everyday lives. These moments can arise in nature or in the depths of an activity we enjoy, alone or together with people we love. They show us that we are exactly where we are supposed to be.The meditations in Coming Home to Yourself were selected from Osho''s hundreds of public talks and intimate conversations. These passages are designed to be a companion on the journey toward transforming our rare moments of "at-home-ness" into an undercurrent that permeates all aspects of our lives. They offer guidance about meditation and specific techniques to try, insights into the habits that keep us tense and conflicted, and what life might look like if we recognize those habits and let them go. Exercises include activating your awareness, opening the heart, learning to relax and concentrate in order to reap the benefits of meditation, and freeing the brain from mental blocks. Featuring whimsical full color illustrations throughout, Coming Home to Yourself invites the reader to dip into the meditations at any point or read the book in sequence for a true homecoming experience.
What is the value of meditation and prayer in devotion? asks Kabir. Meditation and prayer are two different aspects. Prayer signifies the feelings while meditation signifies the mind. Prayer starts from the base of the heart. It takes the love hidden underneath on an universal level. At that moment the me dies within. Meditation starts from the brain. It altogether stops the thinking process. As one goes on meditating, prayer starts disclosing automatically and as the prayer increases, the meditation starts disclosing. Then, at one precise moment they both dissolve into one another. This is devotion. This book includes the interpretation of Kabir writing by Osho. This will surely answer many questions in the minds of devotees on the path of devotion.
The thoughts penned down by OSHO in the year 1987 and the instances that took place in 2001... When we think of them together then we realize that his thoughts then have very precisely come true after such a long period of time. In this third part, he has fulsomely thanked the mother earth while being able to solve the universal labyrinth. He explains that compared to the animal life, a human life is much more sensational. At the same time, he warns us again and again to take utmost care of it. He reminds us that it is the gift from mother earth, hence we ought to nurture it in all possible ways. He also warns us about not being negligent towards it. To be able to do this, he says, we must try and find the true me within. He tells us that the most important and essential stage in the furtherance of a human life is to `finding oneself`.
With his infallible power of speech, unfailing voice and peculiar thoughts, Osho has captivated the highly intellectual people. This book is the collection of 22 of his selected lectures. Actually, calling them lecture is an injustice to them, they are a blend of lectures and legends, they blend together all the qualities of these two forms. Once we start reading this book, we will not be able to notice the time that is passing, we will be lost in it. The title itself is a symbol that Osho considers everything from a different angle. In this book, he intersected the word `religion`. He admits to being religious though. For him true religiousness lies in being good, and having a perfect conduct. Have we understood it earlier? Religion has affected the public opinion tremendously. It has influenced the society with views like god, sin and virtue, heaven and hell, resolution of mind, sacrifice, etc. Naturally, such a person will find Osho`s thoughts rebellious. It is impossible to come up with such thoughts unless one has studied pervasively, contemplated in depth and has immense intelligence. The peculiar features of Osho"s lectures are his sweet language with continuous flow, humour, and the jokes that he tells in between. Reading the book is like having a conversation with him in real. Even after completing the book we hear his dialogues in our mind. We keep on floating in the same environment for a long time.
What is the true meaning of the word "sadhu`? Kabir explains this in detail in his poetical composition. Osho has further elaborated them with his fluent and sweet language. Every human being is a "sadhu` inside, his life, his body is woven with his feelings like sacrifice, lust. Kabir has commented with the help of many simple symbols. Osho uses it to present his idea about human life. Kabir`s poetic compositions and Osho`s exposition makes us realize their efforts in understanding the human life from all aspects.
minate like the seed and grow into a tree. Merge like a drop or a wave and become like the ocean. Drown! Merge! Cease to exist! Surrender yourself completely into the Self; lose your duality; then you will become the ocean! Become vast! There will be no more boundaries, no sorrow, and no pain. You will be neither poor nor meek. You will be accomplished, wealthy, and like a King. All divine incarnations are your reflections. You are no longer 'you'; you are God!

SURRENDER YOURSELF COMPLETELY INTO THE SELF; LOSE YOUR DUALITY; THEN YOU WILL BECOME THE OCEAN! BECOME VAST! THERE WILL BE NO MORE BOUNDARIES, NO SORROW, AND NO PAIN. Meera: Devotion had taken the form of Meera; Meera was matchless and will continue to be so. Many have attained freedom from this life, many souls have been set free from the continuous cycle of birth and death, yet Meera is different. What makes her so different from others? Osho says that it is the transparency that Meera possesses which makes her so different, it is the purity and crystal clarity of her soul that makes her so different. Meera is completely devoted to Krishna. Meera has no separate identity for herself. Meera is Krishna. And when we feel her devotion, understand her dedication, we bow down before her, we lose ourselves, we breathe the air that she breathes in, we get merged with Meera. While trudging along any other path, we at least have something concrete before our eyes. But that is not the case with devotion. It is indeed the toughest route of all. We do not have anything concrete to concentrate upon. The soul of soul, the master soul, HIM... Not seen by human eye, but only felt or sensed. To love such Supreme Spirit unseen ever, to forget ourselves completely, to offer ourselves to HIM, to submit everything, even our ego... Indeed it is an impossible task, only a few can achieve it. Meera did this and that too with an ease, with a simplicity... She wrote bhajans, geet and many other poetic forms for him, her mind did not linger to find rhymes, her pen did not stop for perfection, her words did not tried to follow each other, yet, she simply poured her feelings for Krishna. She was his follower, she was not obsessed by Krishna yet she was all for Krishna. Her devotion inspires us, mesmerizes us...
IT IS RATHER IMPOSSIBLE TO UNDERSTAND MEERA. IF ONE TRIES TO MEASURE HER INTENSITY BASED ON THE CREDENTIALS OF POETRY, SCIENCE OR PHILOSOPHY THEN HE WOULD FAIL IN HIS ATTEMPT AS SHE IS NEITHER A POEM NOR A SCIENTIFIC DESIRE OR PHILOSOPHICAL ASPIRATION. THOUGH SHE DOES NOT HAVE ANY PHYSICAL FORM SHE IS VERY TRUE IN HER OCCURRENCE. IT WAS THE DEVOTION THAT TOOK THE FORM OF A PHYSICAL APPEARANCE OTHERWISE, MEERA WOULD NEVER HAVE KNOWN ANY MATERIAL OUTLINING HIGHLIGHTING HER. THE COMMON MAN ALWAYS CURSES THE ALMIGHTY WHEN HE IS BOMBARDED BY ANGUISH; IN CONTROVERSY TO THIS, MEERA THANKS THE ALMIGHTY FOR ALL THE GRIEF AND ANGUISH THAT THE ALMIGHTY CASTS UPON HER AS IT GIVES HER ADDED OPPORTUNITY TO PRAISE HIM. SHE THANKS HIM FROM THE BASE OF HER HEART FOR RELEASING HER FROM THE CHAOS OF LIVING. SHE FINDS PEACE WITH THE SITUATION AS IT GIVES HER EXTRA STRENGTH AND VIGOUR TO MERGE HER SOUL DEEPER WITH THE ALMIGHTY. HER PENANCE IS MEANT ONLY FOR THE LORD KRISHNA. SHE DOES NOT SEE THE ALMIGHTY IN ANY OTHER FORM. IT IS HER FAITH THAT ENABLES HER TO SACRIFICE HER WILLINGLY TO THAT LORD KRISHNA WHO IS BELIEVED TO BE A PART OF SOME 25 THOUSAND YEARS AGO. YET, THE TIME PERIOD DOES NOT DIMINISHES THE INTENSITY OF HER CERTAINTY ABOUT ‘HIS’ BEING INTO EXISTENCE. THOSE WHO ARE UNABLE TO UNDERSTAND HER DEVOTION, CURSE HER, BLAME HER, TRY TO END HER LIFE SO AS TO GIVE A FULLSTOP TO THE DIVINE DEVOTION REFLECTED BY HER. HOWEVER, SHE REMAINS TRANQUIL AND DOES NOT LOSE HER COMPOSURE OVER IT. A SWEET SMILE LINGERS ON HER LIPS. THOUGH WE HAVE NEVER SEEN MEERA AND WILL HAVE NO CHANCE OF SEEING HER, WE FEEL HER PRESENCE, WE SENSE HER SMILE, WE UNDERSTAND HER CALMNESS. WE BECOME SURER ABOUT HER DEVOTIONAL ATTITUDE, REMEMBERING ONLY HER MERGER WITH LORD KRISHNA.
Meera is heard, preached and sang by many; but a very few can reach her soul. In this modern world, Osho seems to be the only one who has reached her soul, who has felt her tears, who has understood the intensity of each of her breath. Osho himself has lead a life full of poetry, he has found rhythm in his living, he has composed lyrics based on the experiences. Just like Meera, Osho sees love everywhere. For him it is love which keeps this world going on, for him it is love which protects him, comforts him, offers him warmth. His whole being is 'LOVE'. And Meera??? Meera herself is supreme devotion, she is unique though many devotees have achieved the ultimate salvation. What makes her so unique? Osho has tried to put her uniqueness in words. He states that the crystal clear devotion practiced by Meera is worthy enough to prove her divinity. We all know that Meera is Krisha, she sees Him everywhere, but as we go on understanding her we find ourselves blending with her, we start becoming Meera in a way. The path to devotion is not simple or easy. It is marked with unseen hurdles. It often checks on the intense desires of the devotee. Devotion is intricate as the cause is unseen. It needs extreme faith to surrender to something which we believe to be there but cannot see with naked eyes. Meera did it without any second thoughts in her mind. She sacrificed herself for the unseen cause of her life. This is what makes her unique from others. A true poem takes birth from the depth of the mind, it does not linger over attempting rhythm, it may not be wellversed. Even after centuries and eras pass, such true poem holds the power to captivate minds. Meera had accepted the fact that she is merged in love. Her faith, her reliance and her devotion takes us with her.
Osho is the first of this type, always representing a fresh religiousness, totally novel, knowledgeable, mystic, occult. Kabir`s `dohe` are like a shawl woven by the different threads of human experiences and life. Each thread stands for the values of life, each a shining facet with a dimension. Love, dream, truth, ego, title, prestige, sati. Kabir has explained each aspect with perfect examples as was his peculiarity, while Osho sheds light on Kabir`s qualities. Kabir himself lives a human life, but reveals the formula of becoming free, he also seeks our attention towards living in the present with an eye on the future. He brings it to our notice that in this huge cosmos, we literally possess nothing, whatever we see around is all `HIS`, hence whatever leaves after we are no more is the eternal truth. Kabir also points out to the importance of a teacher. He tells us that guru is the indication to reach the almighty. At the end Kabir admits that he has achieved the god, saying `kahe Kabir mai pura paya!`
`I feel contented with the thought of death, of which all are scared.`_ Kabir. Those who are ignorant are scared of death. Those who understand death, have conquered life. Death is the supreme beauty of this world. If you want to destroy your shadow, you just have to stand still at a place, this kills your shadow. The same thing applies to death. The more you try to run away from death, the more it will follow you. But stand still, give it a fearless glance and you will find elixir in it. Stop and face the death. Learn to recognize death. You will come across the god. Osho tries to reveal new meaning from Kabir`s `doha`. Osho`s simple language might help you to come across the true meaning of life.
Kabir says, `gurudev bina jev ke kalpana na mite` The first step towards search is lack of knowledge. The ignorant lives his imaginations. Imagination is the formula for ignorance and truth is the formula for knowledge. Teacher holds you by your hand and walks you toward truth. Teacher frees you from imagination. If you walk on your own then there are 100% chances of losing your way. He already has found what you have started to search now. The distance between you and your teacher is clear, you are at the starting point and he is at the ending point. Very rarely, we come across nutty people like Kabir. But whosoever reads his `doha` actually reads his thoughts, sees his devotion, and becomes one like him, crazy, nutty. Osho was one of such crazy people. He gave a new dimension to Kabir`s `doha`. He illustrated those meanings through his sermons. This is an exclusive invention by two novel crazies, Kabir and Osho.
I am telling you this truth today, however feeble one might be, every one possesses the strength to take one step forward at a time. Everyone might not be able to conquer the Himalayas, everyone might not walk for miles together, but everyone possesses the strength to take one step forward at a time. If we gather a bit of wit then we will be able to take a step forward for sure. There is one more thing that I would like to bring to your notice. The one, who can move by one step, definitely will conquer Himalayas, the one who can move by one step, definitely will cover thousands of miles. Because, in this world, no one has ever walked more than one step. Only, one foot leaves the ground to walk, one foot is enough to walk. As a matter of fact, no one can lift both the feet from the ground to walk. What remains for you and me is to gather our courage to take one step forward, and the one who is alive will surely possess this strength.

Osho elucidates very sweetly Kabir`s meaningful and beautiful `doha` in this book. The importance of love is immense, right from the beginning of the life till obtaining the glimpse of the vibrant Supreme Spirit. Kabir very delicately explains the meaning of love at the same time taking us to the highest steps. Love is god, only thing remains for us to do is to find true love. As love loses its might from our mind we start filling our life with physical pleasures. As love starts ruling our mind, all these materialistic things start to disappear. The `Supreme Spirit` itself descends in front of us. The true meaning of life is transformation of `one`s own`. The art to immerse our ego. Those who are able to shed their ego, will experience the love pouring down on them from all sides. Youth! It is of body, it comes and goes. But youth of a soul is that of the divine power. It is eternal. The moment you realize this, you will experience a coolness, you will possess a foretaste of the unique form of youth, that of the soul. It will never lapse, leave you, never become old or extinct. The moment you achieve this vision of seeing through your soul, then everything around will change. There will be no differences, no walls holding from each other. You will find the presence of only love, the air around you will be full of love. It will be infinite love everywhere, never ending show of love, and from there, finally, you will be able to notice the vastness of the sky.
Suspicion is believing that `I know the truth.` My experience is very small, truth is way too big. My backyard is too small, it is not the whole sky. The window of my house is also very small, but the frame in which it is built does not frame the sky in it. I can see out of the window, yet I must understand that window is not the sky, this understanding is faith. Very few are as crazy as Kabir. He is terribly crazy and his craziness has such powers that if you are lucky to get even one drop of his craziness then you should consider yourself to be the most lucky person of all. If his craziness touches you even a bit, then you will remain healthy, calm and quiet throughout your life. If you adopt a bit of his craziness then you will start dancing and singing like him. It will give you ultimate pleasure. Osho has presented his thoughts extensively on all the world famous and valuable litterateur. He not only excoriates them but he creates a perfect harmony. He has given fragrance to gold. Osho resembles Kabir the most. This huge labyrinth has been built by Kabir and Osho together.
Love and sympathy these are the two feelings that have been continuously considered by spirituality. Osho beautifully presents his view on these two feelings in the book. Journalism is in no way related to spirituality, yet this book consists of three chapters on journalism. In 1987, Osho had penned down his thoughts on journalism, it is astonishing to see them coming true today. Every journalist should read these chapters at least once. Osho tells us that media should not work as destructive weapons, otherwise the humanity will be burnt to ashes. Osho not only tells us the way to build our fealty inwardly as well as outwardly, but he also relates the important things for raising humanity. In his book `Navi Pahat` he had told about the `Modern Man`, now in this book he tells about the `New World`
