In this book, Dr. Dorothy E. Hooks explains the importance of seeking God BEFORE you decide to go into another relationship, leading to marriage. Dr. Hooks understands that we all want someone to love and for that person to love us in return. However, we cannot give in to the desires of our flesh; we must be led by the Holy Spirit because the flesh will profit us nothing. If you allow the flesh to lead you, you will find yourself back into abusive, nonproductive, relationships. God has delivered you, healed you, and restored you from the previous abusive relationship or marriage; NOW What? Are you going to throw that away by giving in to the desires of your flesh?
