I Kath'imas Anatoli is a collection of papers by Richard Clogg on the Greeks inhabiting Ottoman Anatolia.
These studies deal with the Greek communities outside the boundaries of the Greek state in many areas of the Near/Middle East. These were what the Greeks called "kath'imas Anatoli ('our East') Idea", the "Great Idea" of incorporating all the Greek settlements within the bounds of a single state.
During the decade of the 1940s Greece experienced harsh German/Italian/Bulgarian occupation, the emergence of a powerful resistance movement and civil war between communist and nationalists.
