This report is based on a study carried out in one private school in Karachi, Pakistan focusing on two withdrawn children and their classroom participation.Though the teacher had undergone a professional development course introducing her to child-centered pedagogy to enable her enhance classroom participation of all children she was not able to maximize on her PD training for withdrawn children classroom participation. However the teacher created a warm, friendly classroom environment that perhaps resulted to the occasional interaction of the two children with the teacher.
