This book is devoted to theoretical methods used in the extreme circumstances of very strong electromagnetic fields. The development of high power lasers, ultrafast processes, manipulation of electromagnetic fields and the use of very fast charged particles interacting with other charges requires an adequate theoretical description.
This book contains essentially two parts. A Review of the classical, quantum, and semi-classical theories of collision is given in the first part, while their applications to the atom and molecule collisions are given in the second. The book is useful to scientists other than atom and molecular physicists, but is as general as possible.
