In times of sorrow or illness, it has the magical powers of healing. On scary nights, it's a place of safety. Even when everything is going well, it is a place where siblings congregate and enjoy each other's company, letting their imaginations run wild on mom and dad's bed. I have always been amazed at how sought out our bed has been by all of my children. As a senior manager that develop and supervise social service programs for families of children with disabilities; celebrating family, imagination, and togetherness bring purpose to my life. My work with families and children has developed my insight into the power of the togetherness that story time and a very dynamic piece of furniture can create.
