The Ceramic Engineering and Science Proceeding has been published by The American Ceramic Society since 1980. This series contains a collection of papers dealing with issues in both traditional ceramics (i.e. , glass, whitewares, refractories, and porcelain enamel) and advanced ceramics.
The 2012 set set of Proceeding is divided into ten issues. Issues One includes papgers presentated at the 72nd Conference on Glass Problems, held at the Ohio State University, October 18 -19, 2011. Issues 2-19 includes papers presented at the The 36th International Conference and Exposition on Advanced Ceramics and Composites is January 22-27, 2012 in Daytona Beach, Florida. Ceramic Engineering and Science Proceeding issues are also available on Wiley Online Library.

Tap into the American Ceramic Society's knowledge base by accessing this compilation of recently published articles on ceramic armor. Ceramic-based armor systems are critical for reliable ballistic protection of military and police personnel, equipment, vehicles, aircraft and helicopters.
The discovery of high-temperature superconductivity almost two decades ago has been hailed as one of the most exciting advancements in modern physics. However, the full impact of high-temperature superconductors (HTS) will only be realized with the success of large-scale applications.
Bioceramics are ceramic materials primarily used for the repair, reconstruction and replacement of diseased or damaged parts of the musculo-skeletal system. The use of these materials has led to remarkable advances in the quality of life for millions of people.
