140 pages, 63 black & white illustrations, size 5.5 x 8.5 inches. Originally published under the title The Book of the Panther (H/WT) by W.C. Haycraft. This book is one of The Motorcyclist’s Library series published in the USA by Floyd Clymer by arrangement with the original publishers, Pitman Ltd. of London, England. This re-print of the 1967 third edition includes repair, maintenance and overhaul information for the P&M 600 c.c. Model 100 and the 650 c.c. Model 120 Panther motorcycles manufactured from 1938 through the end of production in 1966. Unfortunately, manufacturing cut-backs had become the norm at P & M since the early 1960’s and by 1968 P & M and Panther motorcycles were part of British motorcycle history. With the predominance of the contents devoted to the maintenance and overhaul of both mechanical and electrical components there is adequate detailed text and diagrams to assist in major refurbishing such as an engine rebuild or even a complete renovation.Out-of-print and unavailable for many years, this book is becoming increasingly more difficult to find on the secondary market and we are pleased to be able to offer this reproduction as a service to all Panther owners, restorers and enthusiasts worldwide.
