I was in the U.S. Air Force from mid-1958 until mid-1962. These little stories are about a few capers and characters I encountered along the way. Suffice it to say that my buddies and I got into some comical situations. I even found some humor in the pain and heartbreak inflicted on me by the sergeants. Except for some amount of exaggeration as to my brilliance, the stories are true.

It was written to make you laugh inappropriately, realize the world really is a stranger place than you thought, and maybe make you question if you could actually carry out that dark thought in the back of your mind (but leave it there per attorney recommended statement - "wink, wink") after meeting a mean mother-in-law, that real piece of work (the only work he knows) that your daughter says she is in love with, or your boss who passed you over for that promotion you worked so hard for that ends up going to his idiot nephew who barely shows up other than to harass the secretary.

Mas, pode ser que algumas narrativas intituladas de conto, conter grandes verdades e premissas, eivadas de mistérios e curiosidades sobre alguns assuntos que passaram para o cotidiano popular sem explicação, ou com uma explicação muito simplista, misteriosa, etc., também pode ocorrer sim, que da mente bastante criativa, ser forjada uma realidade dantesca, cruel, etc., que nunca chegou sequer à beirar a realidade. Mera fantasia tomada algumas vezes por verdade... O que cria um determinado conto, tem lá sua necessidade de agradar e se fazer "visível" a outrem. Já àquele que conta trazendo à tona, uma verdade, digamos assim, "não muito bem investigada", apenas cumpre seu papel, sem no entanto, ter o intuito de aumentar uma linha ou sequer um ponto... Sendo assim, ouvi histórias em minha infância de minhas avós, de meus pais, que sempre me deixaram com uma espécie de curiosidade, para saber se eram ou não de fato verdades, ou pequenas mentiras, engendradas pelos desgastados pais para fazer com que àquelas "dóceis" crianças irrequietas, permanecessem por alguns instantes "quietos!" Também isso, é plausível. Mas, algumas dessas histórias sempre me deixaram curioso e devido ao fato, de mesmo por essas datas, não encontrar uma narrativa plena e lógica, decidi reproduzi. Obviamente, existe as sátiras, evidentes, desde o início de seu enredo, facilmente observadas, a seguir.
