The international and interdisciplinary team includes authors from Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Morocco, Sudan, South Africa, South Korea, Iran, China, Portugal, and Germany.

The book contains selected interdisciplinary contributions from the international workshop Historical and Cross-Cultural Aspects of Psychology, held in Leipzig in 2009. It intertwines basic research with applied work to promote scientific exchange between different countries and the different branches of psychology.
