Bahraini-born Saudi national Faisal Samra graduated from the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He worked as an art and graphic design consultant for the Institut du Monde Arabe (Paris). This title gives his portrait.

Opposing Saddam's regime and its compulsory military service he took to hiding in the desert, living for almost 3 years in a hole in the ground covered by a pile of rocks.
