Describes solar surface magnetism. This book includes topics such as solar surface magnetism, solar magnetic activity, dynamical response of the heliosphere, space environment exploration and monitoring; and, space weather prediction.

Contains the proceedings from the COSPAR Colloquium on "Space Remote Sensing of Subtropical Oceans". This volume also includes contributions addressing the issue of why the first scientific satellite of Taiwan, ROCSAT-1, should be equipped with the Ocean Colour Imager (OCI) for oceanographic investigations.

"The Outer Heliosphere: The Next Frontiers" was held in Potsdam, Germany, from 24-28 July, 2000. The year 2000 appeared to be a welcome occasion to review the achievements since the last COSPAR Colloquia 11 years ago, to summarize the developments and to give fresh impulse for future activities in heliospheric research.
