Dieser Sammelband ist das Ergebnis eines polnisch-deutschen lexikographischen Projekts, das im Mai 2008 von Klaus-Dieter Ludwig, Lech Zielinski und Ryszard Lipczuk konzipiert wurde. Er enthält 22 Beiträge namhafter deutscher und polnischer Lexikographen. Die behandelte Problematik reicht vom Kulturwandel in der deutschen und polnischen Wörterbuchlandschaft über Political Correctness in der Lexikographie, ausgewählte Aspekte der einsprachigen deutschen und polnischen bzw. der deutsch-polnischen Lexikographie bis hin zu abgeschlossenen, laufenden und erst konzipierten Wörterbuchprojekten. Der Sammelband trägt zum lexikographischen, deutsch-polnischen Wissenstransfer in beide Richtungen bei und intensiviert einen Gedankenaustausch unter polnischen und deutschen (Meta-)Lexikographen.
Diese Monographie verfolgt das Ziel, die zentralen Begriffe der Semantik von Phraseologismen - ihre Idiomatizität, Motiviertheit, Bildhaftigkeit, Bildlichkeit, Ambiguität - aus kognitiver Perspektive zu beschreiben. Die Autorin arbeitet ein Verfahren heraus und erprobt es in korpusbasierten Detailstudien, mit dem semantische Aspekte der Idiome in ihrer Komplexität und Vielfalt anhand eines kongruenten Instrumentariums, unter kohärenten theoretischen Prämissen, erläutert werden. Der wissenschaftliche Wert des Buches liegt in seiner Interdisziplinarität: Hier treffen die empirisch breit abgesicherten Theorien zu Metapher und Metonymie, kognitiver Semantik, mentalen Repräsentationen, literaler und figurativer Sprache, mit der Korpuslinguistik und Phraseologie zusammen.
Das Buch ist das Ergebnis eines am Germanistischen Institut der Universität Warschau durchgeführten Projekts zu den Beziehungen von Literatur und Musik als Fragestellung einer modernen, komparatistisch orientierten Forschung. Das Ziel dieses Vorhabens war es, das vielschichtige, facettenreiche und wissenschaftlich ergiebige Forschungsfeld exemplarisch zu beleuchten und in seinem thematischen wie methodologischen Reichtum einzufangen. Zur Mitarbeit wurden Forscher aus Deutschland, Polen und der Schweiz eingeladen, die aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven auf die Korrespondenz der Künste blicken und somit voneinander divergierende Zugänge zu dieser Problematik anbieten. Das Werk dokumentiert ihre wissenschaftlichen Interessengebiete, ohne dabei Anspruch auf Vollständigkeit zu erheben.
In diesem Band werden Beiträge präsentiert, die Einblicke in den aktuellen Stand der Forschung zur Grammatik im Text und im Diskurs in ihrem breiten Spektrum vermitteln sollen. In den einzelnen Beiträgen, in denen ausgewiesene Linguisten aus Deutschland, Polen, Tschechien und Ungarn verschiedene kontroverse Aspekte der Beschreibung von grammatischen Strukturen in der deutschen Sprache und ihre Kontrastierung mit anderen Sprachen wie Polnisch, Ungarisch und English aufgreifen und aus eigener Perspektive beleuchtet haben, werden Untersuchungsergebnisse dokumentiert, die für einen weit gefassten Umfang der behandelten Fragen in besonderer Weise repräsentativ sind. Es offenbaren sich dabei viele Standpunkte, die allesamt zur Erweiterung des Wissenshorizonts beitragen und dazu verhelfen können, unterschiedliche linguistische Herangehensweisen kennen zu lernen.
Untersuchungen der Pressesprache bilden einen wesentlichen Bestandteil der Kommunikationsforschung. Die Arbeit untersucht die Mechanismen der Beeinflussung der deutschsprachigen Bevolkerung der Freien Stadt Danzig gegenuber den nationalen Minderheiten, der politischen Opposition und dem Ausland mit Publikationen in den Danziger Neuesten Nachrichten.
