Books in the Generations and Aging series

The complexity and diversity of families and aging has generated the necessity for research, policy, and program agendas that address emerging issues and needs for elderly Americans and their families. This volume is an effort towards that end - an effort towards fostering a different perspective at families and aging.

The topics of aging and disabilities are multifaceted and therefore may be approached in many ways. This work chooses to focus on four systems and areas of common ground (aging, developmental disabilities, independent living movement, and rehabilitation), to investigate the emerging "intersection" of the two fields.
