Galatians conveys the key point that Jews and Gentiles are saved, reconciled, justified with God by grace through faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and by being united with Christ in baptism. This brief commentary is intended to be a resource for teachers of Bible classes. Where possible, the author has refrained from making too many references to technical terms, or to the Greek text. However, in a study of such depth as justification by grace through faith in Jesus Christ it is necessary to make some reference to the original language in which Paul thought and wrote as he defined the definitive theological topic of justification. Where it has been necessary to refer to Greek words the author has spelled the words out in the English alphabet for ease of reading by the non-specialist.
