This groundbreaking book aims to show that technology currently exists to build and operate large autonomous sailing ships equipped with hydrokinetic turbines and electrolysers that could operate in high-wind ocean areas. Part two introduces 12 specific technologies that could enable the green energy ship concept.
This book begins by discussing the problems caused by transportation emissions, the various types of emissions, and the impacts they have on public health, agricultural production, and climate change. Finally, the book discusses implications for the future, from both an industrial and governmental point of view.
Random fields are a necessity when formulating stochastic continuum theories. With a group-theoretic foundation, correlation functions and their spectral counterparts are obtained in terms of stochastic integrals with respect to certain random measures for the fields that belong to orthotropic, tetragonal, and cubic crystal systems.
Finally, the techniques most used to visualize cardiac flows and validate numerical models are detailed, paying special attention to Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) in case of an in vivo validation and Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) for an in vitro validation.
This book is focused on the use of intelligent techniques, such as fuzzy logic, neural networks and bio-inspired algorithms, and their application in medical diagnosis. The main idea is that the proposed method may be able to adapt to medical diagnosis problems in different possible areas of the medicine and help to have an improvement in diagnosis accuracy considering a clinical monitoring of 24 hours or more of the patient. In this book, tests were made with different architectures proposed in the different modules of the proposed model. First, it was possible to obtain the architecture of the fuzzy classifiers for the level of blood pressure and for the pressure load, and these were optimized with the different bio-inspired algorithms (Genetic Algorithm and Chicken Swarm Optimization). Secondly, we tested with a local database of 300 patients and good results were obtained. It is worth mentioning that this book is an important part of the proposed generalmodel; for this reason, we consider that these modules have a good performance in a particular way, but it is advisable to perform more tests once the general model is completed.

This book deals with network representation learning. It deals with embedding nodes, edges, subgraphs and graphs. There is a growing interest in understanding complex systems in different domains including health, education, agriculture and transportation. Such complex systems are analyzed by modeling, using networks that are aptly called complex networks. Networks are becoming ubiquitous as they can represent many real-world relational data, for instance, information networks, molecular structures, telecommunication networks and protein¿protein interaction networks. Analysis of these networks provides advantages in many fields such as recommendation (recommending friends in a social network), biological field (deducing connections between proteins for treating new diseases) and community detection (grouping users of a social network according to their interests) by leveraging the latent information of networks. An active and important area ofcurrent interest is to come out with algorithms that learn features by embedding nodes or (sub)graphs into a vector space. These tasks come under the broad umbrella of representation learning. A representation learning model learns a mapping function that transforms the graphs' structure information to a low-/high-dimension vector space maintaining all the relevant properties.
