This volume contains Francke's hermeneutic writings from 1685 to 1707; they partly arose from his lectures and were partly addressed to a wider audience as aids to reading the Bible, as which they were widely published as Bible prefaces over many years.

This German edition of Muhleberg's correspondence and letters are reproduced in their orignal form. They reflect not only the history of German Lutherism in the USA but also the history of other churches and denominations.
