Discourses of Southeast Asia presents the latest Southeast Asian research in Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL). Their chapters study the 'native' languages of Southeast Asia: Indonesian, Malay, Tagalog, Thai and Vietnamese, and relatively newer languages in Southeast Asia: English and Mandarin.
