It presents the abysmal deterioration of this innercity neighborhood, and at the same time, celebrates Carol's hopes and struggles for a better life and her spirit of generosity and compassion.

Presents the personal testimonies of six people, who were all born around 1900, which reflects on the changes in their lives as old age comes upon them.
