How do I download my ebook to my computer?
Please notice: Before the ebook can be downloaded please install Adobe Digital Editions (ADE). ADE is a free reading program to ebooks and is necessary to have if you’re downloading an ebook which is DRM protected.
Here are the specific demands to your computer, if you have a Mac:
- MacOS 10.4.10, 10.5, 10.6 (Intel) – 10.4.10, 10.5 (PowerPC)
- Safari 2.0.4, Firefox 2
- Adobe Flash Player 8 or 9
Here are the specific demands to your computer, if you have a Windows PC:
- Windows 7, Windows Vista, XP (Service Pack 2 or 3)
- Internet Explorer 6, 7, 8 or Firefox
- Adobe Flash Player 9
If you have a Linux computer it is unfortunately not possible to download Adobe Digital Editions to this type of computer, since Adobe hasn’t made a version of the program to this platform.
Step 1: How to install Adobe Digital Editions (free)
- First, create an Adobe ID here: Create Adobe ID
- Then download Adobe Digital Editions to your computer
Download Adobe Digital Edition: click here to download - You will have two options whether if you downloading the reading program to a MAC or Windows computer.
Please choose the right program to your derive (Windows or MAC).
4. The website will now ask you the following question “Do you want to allow downloads on “www.adobe.com”? – here you must click allow to download the program.
The program will now be downloaded to your computer in the background. After the program has downloaded successfully it will be placed in your downloads on your computer as you can see in the picture below.
5. When the program has successfully downloaded to your computer please click on the downloaded file and pull it out on your desk board.
6. Now the App will be downloaded down on your desk board – Please pull the file that opens out to your desk board as well.
7. Click on the program “Adobe Digital Editions” and follow their process to download.
8. Adobe Digital Editions will now be downloaded and you can open it by clicking on the icon.
Adobe Digital Editions is now successfully downloaded to your computer 🙂
Step 2: How to download your e-book
1. Login to your account or find your order confirmation mail from Tales.as to download your ebook.
You can find your ebook on your order site by logging in to Tale.as here: https://tales.as/account/login/
Then click on “Profile” up in the right corner of the screen and afterward click on to “My orders”. Here you will be able to find all of your orders and download the ebook.
2. Once you have pressed download, the e-book will be transferred to your computer. You can then find it in the file “Finder” on your computer under the “Downloads” folder.
3. Then right-click on the ebook file –> then select “Open in” and click “Adobe Digital Editions”.
4. The ebook is now downloaded to your computer in Adobe Digital Editions and you can find the ebook under “Library” – Ready to be read. 🙂
