Since the Lord has blessed us with the gift of parenthood, we make sure to do our best to take care of children's physical needs-clothing, schooling, food. However, who is accountable to fulfill that "Spiritual Gap"? It is your responsibility to fill that void in our children. The Journey to my Faith series helps parents fulfill this duty.

After Seminary, David Derby started a consulting agency to help businesses and to encourage Christians to discover their potential. His programs are enriched by his experiences as a juvenile corrections facility counselor, behavior style analyst, teacher, pastor, business owner, missionary mobilizer, and foster parent to more than 70 youth. While on mission projects in remote areas of India, David met grass-root level church planters of whom many live on less than one dollar a day, have little or no education, and suffer persecution for sharing their faith. The Lord used this experience to lead David to write the Indian edition of this book, which has been translated into six Indian languages, and thousands have been taught from it throughout India. David was denied reentry into India in 2011. The Indian immigration authorities refuse to give an explanation for this decision. But it appears David was reported by radical anti-Christian Hindu officials who saw the growth of the local churches after his visits to their areas.
The objective of this book is to present a Christ-centered perspective on life, engage your mind, and encourage you to examine your own beliefs and values in order to strengthen a biblical worldview in the church and reestablish a Christian paradigm in the culture. To achieve such a goal is an imperative in our world today for Truth Matters!
"I have always been challenged by Paul Robbins' teaching. He speaks with a soft voice but with rich wisdom born of his heritage. In this book, he brings a fresh perspective to the age-old existential questions we all ask and arrives at undeniable, practical truth." Ruth Graham, Author of best-selling In Every Pew Sits a Broken Heart "The Milkman Story is a trove of treasures. Through Paul's amazing life-story and the impact of one authentic Shepherd, it offers simple, ordinary life moments in which we can reflect and discover the profound Kingdom of God transforming the ordinary-not through man's wisdom or skills or strength, but through God's love. This is a riveting journey for the heart, mind, and soul." Weyman Howard, Author, international speaker & founder of LoveWorks Paul was born in Brooklyn, New York to Jewish parents, each of whose family migrated from Eastern Europe. As a child of the turbulent 60's, he set out on an adventure in search of significance and authenticity. He is now the Associate Director of Construction Teams Ministry for ANM, as well as the Director of "Comfort My People," an ANM ministry to the Jewish people in Israel and beyond. He is married to Marla. They have four children and seven grandchildren. They reside in Virginia. See more about Paul's story at TheMilkmanStory.com.
Does your life seem like a never-ending parade of problems? Have you ever wondered, "What's there to live for?" Have you ever felt like, "No one even cares about me"? Have you found yourself crying out, "Where are you, God?" Or do you ever wonder why there are so many empty pews when Christians claim to have the answer? Author Ruth Shira found herself asking these questions and realized that her hurting soul searched for a down-to-earth God! Read her story and discover for yourself the One who wants to walk with you on your journey. "What a sweet story of faith in the life of a real woman, living a real life. I couldn't put it down." Ruth Graham, Author, In Every Pew Sits a Broken Heart "Refusing, with her child-like faith, to allow her life to be defined by broken dreams, the author, Ruth Shira, found a loving God who more than made it up to her. By extending this God-given, resilient strength to many young and struggling native missionaries around the world, she gave rise to hundreds of sons and daughters among the nations, all who lovingly call her 'Mom Ruth.' How do I know this? I am one of them." Bo Barredo, President and CEO of Advancing Native Missions "This is more than one woman's story. Rather, it is the journey of a person, who-from my experience-has a clear channel to God. Therefore, it is the Lord's story of His leading Ruth through valleys and deserts to mountain tops of resurrection joy." Pastor Harold DeRoo, Founding Pastor of Rolling Hills Community Church (Sister Church of Dr. Robert H. Schuller Garden Grove, California)
We tend to think of Christmas as a day-December 25-that is preceded by a season of commercials, sales, shopping, rushing, hurry, frustration, spending money, standing in lines, worrying, cooking, wrapping, more shopping, spending more money, going in debt, and lots more frustration. But it doesn't have to be this way. In the traditional church calendar Christmas Day was preceded by the season of Advent. This was a time of spiritual preparation, a time of getting ready for the Savior's birth. Perhaps we would do ourselves a favor to once again observe Advent as a time of anticipation and preparation for Christmas, and then have a time of more relaxed merriment afterwards. Want to give it a try? This book offers a series of meditations for Advent. Within these pages you will be able to enjoy the time leading up to Christmas as a period of introspection, anticipation, and joy. Here you will meet saints both ancient and modern, and learn lessons from their lives. You will be guided in how to slow down, learn to pause, and discover how to wait. You will be able to restore spirituality (and sanity) to the weeks before Christmas. And you can prepare yourself to truly rejoice that the Savior has come. We hereby invite you to join in The Journey to Christmas!
What does it mean to be a productive leader? Nourishing your community through leadership produces fruit that can be felt by others, but being a true leader means nourishing your roots inward to hone your character into a truly productive leader. We are influenced on a daily basis by those around us, especially by those in positions of leadership. These interactions are inevitable and can provide the basis for who we are as leaders and how we affect the world around us. We therefore cannot avoid leadership, but we can work toward being productive leaders. This book will provide insight on how you can become the fruit-bearing, world- impacting leader that God would have you to be. Today, many young Western women are falling for the charms of Muslim men, marrying them and converting to Islam. They are being misled by the idea that Islam will give them honor, dignity, respect and hope for Salvation. But does Islam truly offer what it claims? Most Muslim women do not complain because they lack the true knowledge of their own religion and are under constant fear and oppression. The Islamic teachings of how to treat a woman and what her consequences may be for petty mistakes may unnerve you, but you will learn that this is the true face of Islam. Using the Qur'an and Hadiths as the main source, this book sets out to prove beyond any doubt that women are ill-treated by Muslim men no matter what part of the world they are in. This abusive treatment is not the result of domestic or anger issues, but actually the following of so-called divine teachings. By sharing what you read in this book, you can make a significant difference in the lives of young women as they are being drawn in by this satanic ideology. If we do nothing, our silence will definitely affect future generations, as well as impact our freedoms.
It looked like a scene from Beirut or Kabul: a long line of refugees, dusty, frightened, in shock, semi-lifeless. But it was not the Middle East-it was 57th Street in New York City, as the "refugees" escaped north, a few miles from Ground Zero. Some were members of our own congregation, who had escaped the Twin Towers from as high up as the 87th floor. And we, along with hundreds of churches, had the privilege of offering spiritual, emotional and physical help-the love of God. 9/11 changed the world. We now live with the daily threat of more terrorist attacks. Is there any hope in the midst of a seemingly endless war against terrorism? A Time for Hope will shock, anger and challenge you. It will also inform and strengthen you. Its theme is that God hates terrorism but loves terrorists and offers them forgiveness-just like the Apostle Paul! God's power and grace can transform a man full of hate and murder into a man filled with love and compassion. Dave Epstein is the senior pastor of the historic Calvary Baptist Church in New York City and a former professor of Biblical Studies and History. He and his congregation experienced 9/11 firsthand and saw the healing power of God in action in the midst of the devastation. They learned that God is a God of love, hope, justice and peace-and that He really does identify with our pain and redeem our suffering. And God will do the same for you.
