Facsimile of 1935 Edition. This volume contains the author's second group of experiences with Saint Germain. These experiences were the result of his applying the knowledge he had previously learned, as described in Unveiled Mysteries. "I LEFT you, my reader, at the end of Unveiled Mysteries, with the Great Ascended Master Lanto sending forth His Blessing to America and mankind from the Retreat in the Royal Teton. In this book I shall describe another group of important and wonderful experiences which I was privileged to have during those months of association with our Beloved Ascended Master Saint Germain." Herein the author continues his conversation with St. Germain, an Ascended Master, who is able to manipulate the fabric of reality. In Unveiled Mysteries the author, Guy Ballard, using the pen name Godfré Ray King, describes a series of astral trips in time and space with St. Germain. They travelled to lost civilizations in South America and the Sahara, as well as well-stocked bunkers of the ancients in the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, and Mount Shasta. The author and St. Germain revisit past lives as citizens of Atlantis and Mu, and they turn out to be relatives. A final chapter mentions encounters with entities from Venus.
Facsimile of 1940 Edition. An Agricultural Testament is Sir Albert Howard's best-known publication and remains one of the seminal works in the history of organic farming movement. The work focuses on the nature and management of soil fertility, and notably explores composting. At a time when modern, chemical-based industrialized agriculture was just beginning to radically alter food production, it advocated natural processes rather than man-made inputs as the superior approach to farming. It was first published in England in 1940. Since this book first appeared in 1940, it has been regarded as one of the most important contributions to the solution of soil rehabilitation problems ever published. More importantly, it is regarded as the keystone of the organic movement.Louis Bromfield called it "the best book I know on soil and the processes which take part in it." Soil Science called it "the most interesting and suggestive book on soil fertility which has appeared since King's Farmers of Forty Centuries." And Mother Earth News recently called it "the most basic of all introductions to organic farming by the founder of the modern movement."The object of the book was to draw attention to the loss of soil fertility, brought about by the vast increase in crop and animal production, that has led to such disastrous consequences as a general unbalancing of farming practices, an increase in plant and animal diseases and the loss of soil by erosion. Howard contended that such losses can be repaired only by maintaining soil fertility by manufacturing humus from vegetable and animal wastes through the composting process. He stressed, too, a little-known nutritional factor, the mycorrhizal association, which is the living fungous bridge between humus in the soil and the sap of plants.
Facsimile of the 1935 Edition. The Qabalah is the traditional mystical system of Israel. It also forms the basis of medieval magic. This title deals with the work of the modern Qabalists as a contribution to the psychology of mystical experience, and also throws much light on the nature of primitive religion and the Mystery Cults. Dion Fortune's Mystical Qabalah remains a classic in the field. She explores all aspects of the Qabalah, whose disciplines include the esoteric sciences of astrology and tarot and forms the basis of the Western Mystery Tradition. Her thorough explanation of the Tree of Life, which lies at the heart of Qabalistic teaching, provides a key to the practical working of this mystical system for both novice and initiate.

Reprint of 1957 Second Edition. Master Cleanse is a modified juice fast that permits no food, substituting tea and lemonade made with maple syrup and cayenne pepper. The diet was developed by Stanley Burroughs, who initially marketed it in the 1940s, and revived it his 1976 book The Master Cleanser. Proponents claim that the diet tones, reduces and cleanses the body, allowing the body to heal itself. Though controversial, the diet has many followers, some of whom are quite prominent and outspoken about its benefits.
Facsimile of 1937 Edition. In this provocative, classic metaphysical thriller, a group of suburban amateur actors plagued by personal demons and terrors explore the pathways to heaven and hell. Certain inhabitants of Battle Hill, a small community on the outskirts of London, are preparing to mount a new play by the neighborhood's most illustrious resident, the writer Peter Stanhope. The key to Williams' mystically oriented theological thought, Descent into Hell is a multidimensional story about human beings who shut themselves up in their own narcissistic projections, so that they are no longer able to love, to 'co-inhere.' The result is a veritable hell. "Charles Williams took the form of the thriller and used it to create an extraordinary genre that has sometimes been called 'spiritual shockers.' His books are immensely worth reading, even if you consider yourself unspiritual and immune to shock."-Humphrey Carpenter."..satire, romance, thriller, morality and glimpses of eternity all rolled into one." New York Times."…one of the most gifted and influential Christian writers England has produced in this Century." Time"Reading Charles Williams is an unforgettable experience." Saturday Review.
2019 Reprint of First Edition Published in 1891. Originally entitled A Year with the Saints, this devotional manual aligns each month to individual virtues in an effort to encourage a practice of Christian self-examination. The book comprises a well thought out presentation based on a selection from the writings of the most eminent masters of spiritual science. The teachings portray the value of virtue, its beauties and its necessity for the conduct of a good life. These accounts may at first appear anecdotal, but they furnish at the same time the strongest proofs of the possibility of carrying out in real life precepts and principles which might otherwise seem beyond the capabilities of most.
2019 Reprint of the 1946 Edition by Houghton Mifflin Company, Boston. Noted American anthropologist Ruth Benedict wrote this book at the invitation of the U.S. Office of War Information, in order to understand and predict the behavior of the Japanese in World War II by reference to a series of contradictions in traditional culture. The book was influential in shaping American ideas about Japanese culture during the occupation of Japan and popularized the distinction between guilt cultures and shame cultures. Although it has received harsh criticism, the book has continued to be influential. The Japanese, Benedict wrote, are: both aggressive and unaggressive, both militaristic and aesthetic, both insolent and polite, rigid and adaptable, submissive and resentful of being pushed around, loyal and treacherous, brave and timid, conservative and hospitable to new waysThe book also affected Japanese conceptions of themselves. It was translated into Japanese in 1948 and became a bestseller in the People's Republic of China when relations with Japan soured.
Facsimile of 1924 Edition. Dion Fortune is justly regarded as one of the foremost occultists of modern times, an acknowledged adept whose clear, concise, and down-to-earth approach has been responsible for bringing knowledge of the occult sciences to a much wider reading public. The Esoteric Philosophy of Love and Marriage is one of her earliest books, in which she describes the occult meaning of marriage and love as manifestations of the principle of Sex or Polarity, a universal force that functions from the highest to the lowest planes of existence. Topics covered include the Ideal Marriage, the Karmic ties between souls, how souls find their mates, and the esoteric teaching concerning 'twin souls'. The book's stance on such topics as contraception, masturbation and abortion may appear puritanical to modern eyes, but Dion Fortune gives solid esoteric reasons for her statements, reasons that raise questions concerning the wisdom of today's moral relativism. A must-read for any occultist interested in one of the most fundamental aspects of life on this, and all other, planes of existence.
Facsimile of 1943 Edition. In this work Berdyaev outlines his philosophical journey and describes the influences which brought him to his intellectual position. In his view, the only way of escape from the many forms of slavery--spiritual, economic, political--which shackle and impoverish the spirit lies in the fuller realization of personality, as he defines it. Berdyaev essentially embraced a religious view of man in the world and his work played a large part in the renaissance of religious and philosophical thought in Russian intellectual life early in the 20th century. In 1922 he and other intellectuals were expelled from the USSR. In the end he advocated for a "personal transvaluation of values."
Facsimile of 1961 Edition. "Adolph Marx [Harpo] squashed his formal education at the age of eight when he was dumped out of the 2nd grade window at P.S. 86 for the last time by two Irish classmates. He never went back. But his informal education blossomed on the streets of New York's Upper East Side; as a piano player in the Happy Times Tavern, on the vaudeville circuit of the early 1900's, at all-night poker games in the Algonquin Hotel. This is a racy autobiography by the mute Marx Brother with the rolling eyes, oversized pants and red wig who could send a glissando reeling over his harp. From the financial embarrassment of his childhood generally due to his predatory gambler-brother, Chico, he rose to the free-swinging, free-spending, game-loving gang of the twenties headed articulately by Alec Woollcott. There was croquet at the Woollcott's Vermont retreat, poker at the Algonquin, roulette on the Rivera, and backgammon at the Garden of Allah in Hollywood. At 41 he finally married and dutifully tells the reader in scenario style the conversation and events of his first dates with his wife. It is a chatty, colorful story designed for shockeroos and honks and only gets dull when there are no more pranks to play on anybody. The most appealing parts of Harpo's tale deal with his tour of Russia and his description of his family, particularly his mother Minnie with her Master Plan and Father Frenchie peddling the ""lappas"" (tailor's remnants). It is enjoyable reading and polished writing." Kirkus, 1961
Facsimile of 1938 Edition. Dion Fortune is acknowledged as one of the most knowledgeable and level-headed writers on Esoteric matters. In Sane Occultism she is adamant that magic and occult studies, though often dealing with unseen forces, must still be grounded in Reason, and she explains how claims of psychic ability and past lives can, and should, be verified. The book covers a vast swathe of topics, from meditation and psychism, through numerology and astrology, to such 'black' Occult practices as psychic vampirism, blood sacrifice and other aspects of the Left-Hand Path. The need, or otherwise, for vegetarianism, strict obedience to a master, and secrecy, are also covered in detail. Sane Occultism is a refreshing, no-nonsense look at esotericism, being at the same time an excellent introduction to the subject and a book that will give even the experienced practitioner much to think about.
Facsimile of 1960 Edition. The Naked Communist was first published in 1958 and immediately exploded in popularity, selling almost two million copies to date and finding its way into the libraries of the CIA, the FBI, the White House, and homes all across the United States. It is here reprinted from the Edition of 1960. The work is an attempt at a full history of Communism, from the tragic falls of China, Korea, Russia, and the UN, to the fascinating histories of Alger Hiss, Whittaker Chambers, Elizabeth Bentley, and General MacArthur. The book lays out the entire graphic story of communism, its past, present, and future. After searching unsuccessfully for a concise literature on the communist threat, W. Cleon Skousen saw the urgent need for a comprehensive book that could guide the American conversation. As a result, he distilled his FBI experience, decades of research, and more than one hundred communist books and treatises into one clarifying, readable volume that became a touchstone of conservative American values and earned praise from the likes of President Ronald Reagan, Glenn Beck, and Ben Carson. Lauded by one reviewer as "the most powerful book on communism since J. Edgar Hoover's Masters of Deceit," this text draws a detailed picture of the communist as he sees himself: stripped of propaganda and pretense. Readers gain a conservative unique insight into the inner workings of communism-its appeal, its history, its basic and unchanging concepts, even its alleged secret timetable of conquest.
2018 Facsimile of 1962 Edition. The Book of Lies was written by occultist and teacher Aleister Crowley and first published in 1912 or 1913.. As Crowley describes it: "This book deals with many matters on all planes of the very highest importance. It is an official publication for Babes of the Abyss, but is recommended even to beginners as highly suggestive." The book consists of 93 chapters, each of which consists of one page of text. The chapters include a question mark, poems, rituals, instructions, and obscure allusions and cryptograms. The subject of each chapter is generally determined by its number and its corresponding Qabalistic meaning. Around 1921, Crowley wrote a short commentary about each chapter, assisting the reader in the Qabalistic interpretation. These commentaries are included in this edition.
