During my many years of traveling all around This Great America, I would rent a car to visit potential building sites, meeting with all the relevant necessary parties needed for a potential business location and doing so see interesting signage. My job often allowed me a travelling companion either from the company or a local form the area to show me around the town. We would laugh as I read signs all using "Spoonerisms". This became a hobby that made the drives more enjoyably spent laughing. I wrote sign messages on scraps of paper collecting them in my travel case. Adding year after year to my Spoonerism collection. This is a small book to carry in the glove box, etc, for the family to read and laugh during a car, train, or plane trip. This has been my dream.
Abas Mirzaei, a faculty assistant professor in branding at Macquarie Business School, observes that woke branding has become the new wave that brands can no longer avoid. Avoid going woke, and your brand risks irrelevancy, especially with younger consumers. Go woke, and you're likely to experience a backlash.Until relatively recently, people wanted to buy high-quality cameras, reliable cars, and durable shoes and active wear. Today, however, many people want to buy a camera (to capture scenes of social injustice), shoes (that weren't made using child labor), and cars (that emit minimal carbon and are safe for the environment). Likewise, we purchase "animal-friendly" vegan handbags that are not associated with animal cruelty and use ride-sharing services that promise not to exploit drivers. In getting woke, fighting discrimination, and questioning the status quo, there are questions to address, steps to follow and considerations to take note of. This book unpacks the dynamics of woke branding, identifies its ingredients, and offers a roadmap for those wanting to walk into the uncertain world of wokeness. This book is neither a pro-woke nor an anti-woke polemic. Instead, with the appropriate critical distance, it presents a range of different views about wokeness: from woke authenticity, to cute wokeness, to woke sacrifice, and woke execution ingredients. So, if you're weighing the risks of engaging in "woke" moves and aren't sure how consumers will respond, then this book is for you.

How often have you experienced a powerful urge to do something and fought against it, only later to discover that your intuition was correct? How do we learn to listen to the God within and block the chatter of outside noise? These divine whispers not only inform and guide us but also serve as reminders that the creator is ever present in our lives, not just during difficult times.Intuition and Divine Whispers focuses on author LeNora Millen's spiritual journey and personal relationship with God. Millen calls on us to listen to the inner voice of God, which some call intuition or divine guidance. She doesn't seek to condemn or convert those who have not experienced miracles, the paranormal, or the gift of insight. Instead, she shares the path she traveled with a plethora of twists and turns, revealing aspects of her life previously only known to family and close friends. Most importantly, she explores what it means to pray and move out of your own way to allow your creator to work through you and for you.Using biblical references throughout the book, this inspirational and personal narrative explores intuitive guidance, God's divine spirit, and miracles materializing in our lives.
Adam Martin considers himself an aging, melancholic millennial and survivor of romantic misfortunes. In a contemporary, self-aware collection of writings that innovatively plays with time and perspectives, Martin shares personal anecdotes, therapy notes, and satirical examinations of masculinity in pop culture that offer insight into his unique view of life, his relationships, and others around him.In an entertaining journey through his coming-of-age years while enduring a pseudo conservative Christian upbringing, Martin recounts stories from ghosts of girlfriends past, beginning with his first kiss in elementary school when a classmate puckered up and planted one on his cheek, much to his dismay. As he details how he was introduced to the game of Truth or Dare as an uncertain prepubescent boy, moved on from a suffocating cheerleader and first crush, and navigated through several relationships in college and beyond, Martin shares reflective side comments while revealing candid insight into his one-of-a-kind experiences as he tries to secure romantic stability while maintaining his sanity and true self.Comedy Minus Time is the satirical narrative of an aging millenial's perspectives regarding the anxieties and mishaps surrounding his romantic relationships.

Lucky, a little mixed breed, loved riding in the car from Florida to a mountain cabin in Tennessee. Sassy, a very curious calico cat, perched atop the sofa to watch the squirrels and rabbits play.
