Harawene was a small, black and white terrior cross, who lived wild in a paddock overlooking Te Ngae Road, Rotorua's busiest highway . Fascinated by the passing traffic, she would stand watching it for hours, becoming a silent companion to countless motorists who passed by. Tragically run over in 2008, she was mourned by thousands.
