Those were the number of people who were killed in Mexico from 2006-2012; (and is still ongoing), as well as the number of soldiers that patrol the streets of the country daily; Followed by the percentage of successful homicide investigations that lead to convictions. Just south of the border lies a country that has become so dangerous, that the most high profile criminals operate with impunity and are allowed to go free, in what are called prison "escapes." Can you imagine 45,000 American soldiers patrolling the streets of the United States? Can you imagine 102,696 Americans killed from homicide in a six-year period?
